What are Socially Acceptable Facial Hair Styles?

Is a small, well groomed mustache that runs from the top of the lip to the base of the nostrils and does not extend past the edges of the lips considered socially acceptable in today’s society? Yes I know this is frequently called the Hitler Mustache but I must say it looks pretty damn good on me. Unfortunately, I get “looks” when I’m out and about from members of the community. I live in Boca Raton and there’s a lot of Jewish people here but I don’t wear it to offend them, I really do like the way it looks on me. Am I in the wrong?

You have every right to wear your facial hair as you see fit but you also need to be prepared for people’s reactions when you offend them.
I think your community has a lot of older folks in it and some may have lived through the horrors. Why do you want to make them feel this way?
Just get a different look. That would be the most community minded and unselfish thing to do.
