Does any1 know a good facial hair removal?
I wanna remove my facial hair without laser or wax treatment. Any ideias??
You don’t actually say whether you’re male or female.
If you’re female and if there’s not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with, for example, a slight moustache.
If you do decide you have to do something, then there isn’t a simple answer.
Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of
1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone — doesn’t happen to all girls, but does to many
2) your body producing high levels of testosterone
The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.
Steer clear of bleaching — when someone sees you against the light you’ll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.
As far as removing it is concerned it’s worth remembering that
* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you’ve got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.
* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.
* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.
* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.
Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men’s-style Electric Razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men’s range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men’s Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

Homemade Wax
Ingredients
2 cups brown sugar
¼ cup water
¼ cup lemon juice
Method
Pour the sugar, water and lemon juice all together in a saucepan, and heat it over a low flame. Keep stirring the mixture to avoid burning. Stir it until all the sugar has melted, and you have a thick brown liquid. Let it cool slightly before using it. It can be stored in a heat proof container for later use.
Store it in fridge. It can be easily warmed up in the microwave.
It a natural home made wax that can be used for waxing for arms, legs, underarms, upper lips and eyebrows.

Can you use GiGi Brazilian Bikini Hard Wax Kit on ALL of the pubic region?
I’m looking for an at-home wax kit that I can use to wax my bikini area, but I want a wax kit that I can use on the WHOLE area. This means like on the lips, inside the butt, etc.
Is the GiGi kit safe to use down there on ALL the parts? If not, can anyone suggest one?
I have been doing DIY Brazilians for about 4 years now. Gigi is the brand that I use, and I get great results with it. And yes, a hard wax is what should be used ‘down there.’ The strip waxes tend to hurt more in that area.You can do ‘everything’ safely as long as you are familiar with how to do the waxing properly. I’m not sure what your level of knowledge is when it comes to doing Brazilians, but I’ll give you a few tips that may be helpful to you?
- Try to wax when the hairs are between 1/8″ and 1/4″ in length. You can trim them if needed. Too short and the wax will not adhere to the hair, and too long causes unnecessary pain. It hurts enough as it is, no need to add to the pain if you can avoid it!
- Always apply thin layers of wax. Apply in the direction of hair growth, and remove in the opposite direction. Pull the wax off quickly and be sure to pull it off close to the skin, and not straight up while holding your skin taut with your free hand. If you apply the wax too thick, it can cause bruising. Bruising – and skin tears can occur if you pull the wax off at the wrong angle. Keep it parallel to the skin and you’ll be fine.
- Avoid waiting too long to remove the wax after you apply it. With a hard wax, this means waiting only long enough for it to cool a bit and become soft and pliable, but no longer than that if possible.
- Many people will advise you to use baby powder when waxing to help keep the wax from sticking to your skin. Yes, this works fine on areas such as your legs. But, for Brazilians, I have found that using a very thin coating of baby oil works much better than powder. It will help prevent the wax from sticking to the skin better than powder does, and this also helps to keep the skin from tearing – which is a good thing! I’ve been there, done that, and it hurts like crazy. OUCH! And that ‘Ouch’ can last for a few days depending on how badly the skin was torn. Just use a very thin coating of baby oil, or pre-epilating oil that Gigi makes. If you apply too much oil, simply wipe off the excess with a paper towel, or a cloth. If you use too much, the wax will not adhere to the hairs. One other thing that is good about using oil is that you can easily re-do an area that you might not have removed all the hairs from the first time around. Overall, it works much better than powder. A friend who used to do waxing for a living told me this trick when I was first starting to do my own Brazilians.
- Also, many people will tell you that it is impossible to get ‘everything’ if you do a Brazilian yourself. Not true. Sure, you might have to be a bit creative, and move into some odd positions to be able to remove the hairs from those hard to get to areas, but it can be done. I’ve done it many, many times so I know it can be done by yourself just fine.

Facial Hair Removal Cream
Avon’s skin so soft facial hair removal cream??
I use Avon’s skin so soft facial hair removal cream once a week and I have been doing that for almost about a year. After everytime I use it, it makes my face really red for a few hours and the day after it is still red but not as red as when I first used it. On the instructions, it says to put it on for 2.5 minutes and since I don’t have a exact timed clock for 2.5 minutes, I always wash it off after 3 minutes, never any longer and it still bothers my skin. I keep using it because it works really well, even if my face does hurt a little and is red afterward.
Does anyone know why my face might be reacting like this? Do you think I should try something different or wash it off earlier?

Your skin might be sensitive.
